My name is Vilhelmiina Välimäki and I completed a master's degree in psychology from the University of Jyväskylä. I Valvira legalization psychologist and I have a European Quality guarantee label, or Clinical Psychology EuroPsy Certificate. I work in Finnish and English.
Being a psychologist is definitely a vocation for me. At the heart of my calling is the idea that I want to make this world a little bit better place by helping others. I am endlessly interested in human activities, as well as thoughts, feelings, and motives behind the operation. The mind is strongly connected to our bodies, and I believe that by learning to listen better to both our bodies and our minds, we can do better.
It is important for me to be approachable and myself as a psychologist. I base a cheerful and hearty, but also profound reflections and conversations are natural to me. I am open to new things and willing to evolve and grow as a psychologist. My approach is active and conversational. It is important to me that my work is tailored to the order and that the starting point is always the goals set for working with the client. I find it particularly important that goals are not floating in the air, but are always aimed at bringing them into practice on a daily basis. It is also important to me that the methods I use are based on scientific evidence. As a psychologist, I want to always be 100% present in the moment and thus create a safe place for everyone to talk and be.
I'm familiar with, in particular for approving and omistautumisterapiaan working method, and it does create their own work of the main frame of reference. I believe that this approach provides support for a wide variety of life situations, and I feel that knowing it has been helpful in working with different client groups. However, I consider my personality to be one of the most important tools, because in the end this work is not only done by methods but also by the person.
